Texas Home Living Services

The Texas Home Living (TxHmL) program provides selected essential services and supports to people with an intellectual disability or a related condition who live in their own home or their family’s home.

TxHmL services are intended to supplement rather than replace the services and supports you may receive from other programs or from natural supports, including your families, neighbor or community organizations.

TxHml services and supports are divided into two service categories. The annual cost of services received within the service categories must not exceed more than $17,000 yearly. These limits are placed by DADS (Department of Aging and Disability), and cannot be exceeded.
